Team Locker is a free app for youth sports teams — schedules, RSVPs, team chat, game-day alerts and standings, with no accounts to create. Here are the questions that come up most.
Your coach sends a link that looks like teamlocker.app/your-team-code. Open it and tap your family's name — that's the whole sign-in. No email, no password.
If tapping the link doesn't work (some apps strip links, and an already-installed app won't open one), open Team Locker and use Join a team at the bottom of the welcome screen. Paste the whole link, or just type the team code from the end of it.
Tap the team name at the top of the screen (it has a small arrow next to it). That opens My Teams, which lists every team you've joined on this device and lets you flip between them instantly.
To add the second team, open My Teams and paste the other team's link (or type its code) into Join another team. Coaching a second team yourself? Use Create a new team in the same place. Your choice of family — and a coach sign-in, if you're a coach — is remembered separately for each team, so you don't sign in again when you switch.
One thing to know: the home-screen widget shows the next game for whichever team you had open last.
iPhone or iPad: get Team Locker from the App Store, then open your team's link once so the app knows which team you're on.
Android, or if you'd rather not install anything: open your team's link in Chrome, then use the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen. It behaves like an app, works offline, and can send notifications.
Your coach turned on family PINs, so each family has its own 4-digit code. Ask your coach for yours, enter it once, and that phone stays signed in. If it says the PIN didn't match, your coach can read it back to you from Coach tools → Invite & PIN.
Type @ and pick a family, a player, or @all. Anyone who has alerts set to "mentions only" is notified for those and nothing else.
Tap the small trash icon beside your own message to delete it for everyone. Coaches can delete any message in the thread.
The line above the message box shows who your messages are signed as. Tap Not you? to go back to the family list and pick the right one. Families are chosen by tapping a name, so a shared phone can end up on someone else's.
Tap Turn on alerts on the card near the top of the home screen, then allow notifications when your phone asks. You'll get a push when the coach sends an announcement, posts a final score, or changes the schedule.
To change what you get, open Team chat and tap the bell — top right on a phone, in the chat header on iPad and desktop. Choose everything, mentions only (just chat messages that @mention your family or your player), or off.
On the calendar, tap Add to my calendar and choose Subscribe. That's a live subscription, not a one-time import — when the coach moves a game or adds one, your calendar updates on its own.
For a single game, open it and tap Calendar. For Google Calendar on the web, use Copy feed URL, then in Google Calendar go to Settings → Add calendar → From URL and paste it.
The widget updates when you open the app, so opening Team Locker once will refresh it. It shows the next game for the team you last had open, and switches to the following game after the current one ends.
You have three options, and they do different things:
Reports come to [email protected], and you can always email that address directly instead. We read them and will act on anything abusive, including removing content and, if it comes to it, deleting a team.
Sign in by picking the coach entry on the family screen and entering your coach PIN, then open Team Settings. The four tabs cover everything:
For standings, copy the table off your league's website and paste it into Update standings — it fills in the rows for you. Or enter them by hand.
Any device where you're still signed in as coach can set a new one: Team Settings → Invite & PIN → change PIN. If you're locked out everywhere, email support from an address you can be reached at, with your team's link, and we'll help you recover it.
Changing the PIN signs coach tools out on your other devices — sign in again there with the new PIN. Families are unaffected.
A coach can delete the whole team in Team Settings. That permanently removes the roster, schedule, chat, photos and results — it can't be undone.
To remove one family, edit the roster and delete that row. If you're a parent and can't reach your coach, email us and we'll take care of it. See the privacy policy for what's stored and how it's handled.
Yes. In Coach tools → Invite & PIN, turn on Family PINs. Every family gets its own 4-digit PIN, listed right there with a copy button per family and a Copy all PINs button for pasting into your group chat. Families enter their PIN once per phone. Anyone already signed in is sent back to the family list to enter theirs.
One thing to know: pasting the whole list into the group chat means every family can see every PIN. That stops accidental mis-taps onto the wrong family, which is the common problem. If you need families kept strictly apart, text each PIN on its own.

It helps to include your team's link, what you tapped, what happened instead, and whether you're on an iPhone, Android or a computer. Team Locker is made by one person, so replies usually take a day or two.
