Team Locker is a free tool for youth sports teams, available on the web at teamlocker.app and as an iOS app. This policy explains what the app stores, who can see it, and how to get rid of it. It applies to both the website and the iOS app, which share the same data.
Team Locker has no sign-up and no login credentials. You are never asked for an email address, a phone number, or a password. A coach creates a team, shares the team's link, and each family opens the link and taps the name of their family on that device. That choice is remembered on the device only — it is not an account, and nothing is verified.
Everything below is typed in by a coach or a family. Nothing is collected automatically.
The app never asks for a child's last name, birthdate, address, phone number, photo, school, or any medical or emergency information, and there is nowhere in the app designed to hold it.
Only if you turn notifications on. On the iOS app this is a device token issued by Apple; in a browser it is a push subscription issued by your browser maker. Neither identifies you personally. Alongside it the app stores your notification preference (all, mentions only, or off) and your family's names, so it can tell when a chat message mentions you.
A coach chooses a 4–8 digit PIN, which is stored so the app can check it when someone tries to use coach tools. It is a lightweight gate on editing a schedule, not a security credential protecting sensitive data. Do not reuse a PIN from your phone, bank, or anything else.
The app keeps a few small values in your browser's or app's local storage: which team you're looking at, which family you picked, your notification preference, and which one-time tips you've dismissed. These stay on your device. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
A team's link is what controls access to it. Anyone who has the link — or who guesses the team's code — can open the team and see its schedule, roster labels, player first names, RSVPs, chat, and results. Editing as a coach additionally requires the coach PIN.
This is a deliberate trade for having no accounts: a parent can open the link and use the app without creating anything. Team links contain a random code and are not listed, published, or indexed by search engines, but they are not secret. Treat a team link the way you'd treat a group text: share it with your team, and don't post it publicly. For the same reason, please don't put anything in Team Locker that would be harmful if a stranger read it.
A coach can change the coach PIN at any time in Team Settings, and can remove a family from the roster, which removes that family's label and player names.
Team Locker is run by one person and uses a small number of infrastructure providers. These are the only outside parties that ever touch data from the app, and each is limited to what it needs to do its job.

Team Locker is built for the adults who run a youth sports team — coaches, parents, and guardians. It is not directed to children, has no accounts for children to create, and collects nothing from a child directly.
Information about a child appears only if an adult types it in, and the app is designed so that a first name is enough. If you are a parent or guardian and want your child's name or your family's information removed, ask your coach to remove your family in Team Settings, or contact us and we will remove it.
A coach can delete a team from Team Settings. Deleting a team permanently removes everything stored for it — roster, schedule, chat, photos, results, and notification subscriptions. This cannot be undone.
Turning notifications off removes that device's notification details. Clearing your browser data or deleting the iOS app removes the values stored on your device. If you would like something deleted and can't reach your coach, contact us.
Team data is kept for as long as the team exists, so that a season's history stays available to the team. There is no automatic expiry.
All traffic uses HTTPS. Data is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure and access to it is limited to what the app itself needs. That said, Team Locker is a free tool with a link-based access model, described plainly above — it is not built to hold sensitive personal information, and you shouldn't use it for any.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top will change and the updated version will be posted at this address.
